Kutaisi City View from Bagrati Cathedral

Got ready in the morning, checked out from the hostel, changed my umbrella which I bought near Batumi Central Mosque, the earlier one was long and couldn't be collapsed but the new one was collapsible. Walked to the Batumi marshrutka stop opposite the Argo Cable car, I had to go to Kutaisi, there was one marshrutka going to Tbilisi. I checked with the driver whether it will go to Kutaisi, he said it will.

Paid 20 GEL for Batumi to Kutaisi, there were 2-3 other people as well they were either going to Tbilisi or somewhere in between. After sometime the driver shifted us to another marshrutka and soon the new marshrutka departed. But seems like the new driver didn't knew that I had to go to Kutaisi, after almost half way drive, as the driver took the flyover to Tbilisi, I told the driver that I have to go to Kutaisi, then he turned back and started driving towards Kutaisi passing by Kutaisi International Airport, I saw one car burning on the road, looked like it caught fire.

The marshrutka dropped me at Kutaisi Bus station just next to McDonald's, and booked a Yandex to reach my hostel. After taking some rest, I went out to see the city, walked to the Bagrati Cathedral, crossed the famous White bridge over the Rioni river, and the weather was cloudy. Near the White bridge I saw many young people carrying Georgian and European Union flags, protesting against the implementation of Foreign Agent Law, fearing that the law would put Georgia into Russian influence.

After seeing the Bagrati cathedral, I headed back to my hostel, on my way I walked into the famous Green Bazaar in Kutaisi and also saw the Colchis Fountain on the main square. In the evening I bought some fruits from a nearby supermarket, which was my dinner for the night.
