Russia-Georgia Friendship Monument

Got ready in the morning, ate my breakfast and quickly walked to the starting point of the group tour, near Opera and Ballet Theater of Tbilisi on Rustaveli Avenue. We left from Tbilisi at 9:15 AM, there were a total of 13 people, as we were moving out of Tbilisi city, the guide told some very interesting historical facts about Tbilisi city.

Our first stop was Zhinvali reservoir, after that the driver stopped at Stepantsminda. All other people took the 4x4 to visit the Gergeti Trinity Church, myself and a girl from Russia stayed down. I didn't go there because my plan was to spend at least one day in Stepantsminda and hike to Gergeti Trinity Church.

The road to Kazbegi was just along the Aragvi river and since the road connects Georgia to Russia, a lot of Cargo vehicles use it for transportation of goods. I saw a lot of trucks with Türkiye number plates and I even saw one with Kyrgyzstan number plate. Along the road there were a lot of hotels and restaurants, especially in Gudauri.

Our next stop was the Georgia-Russia Friendship Monument, I liked it. The driver then stopped at a place for honey tasting and then for lunch. Our last stop was Ananuri Fortress, a beautiful fortress, the guide told us that the church inside the fortress was not initially there, but they were built later, I liked the fortress.

At the end the driver dropped everyone at the same place from where we started in the morning in Tbilisi. Walked to my hostel, ate food, drank tea and took rest.
